Today, March 7th, is National Cereal Day and I have some secrets about our favorite breakfast food that you may not know.
- Dr. John Kellogg first served Corn Flakes to patients at a mental facility back in 1897.
- The original voice of "Tony the Tiger" is Thurl Ravenscroft, the same guy who sang "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch."
- Honey Nut Cheerios get their flavor from crushed up peach and apricot pits.
- Lucky Charms started with just one marshmallow, the original was the heart shape.
- A serving of Honey Smacks has as much sugar as one Dunkin' Donuts glazed donut.
- Froot Loops are all the same flavor, no matter what color they are.
