Cedar Rapids Woman Claims Man Kidnapped Her, Forced Her to Watch ‘Roots’ to ‘Understand Her Racism’

Police in Cedar Rapids have arrested Robert Lee Noye, after he allegedly kidnapped her and held her against her will.

The complaint said Noye forced a woman to watch "Roots," a 9 hour historical mini-series about slavery in America set in the post-Civil War era. He wanted her to "better understand her racism."

The victim told police also stated the suspect told the victim he would "kill her and spread her body parts across Interstate 380 on the way to Chicago" if she didn't sit quietly and watch the show.

Noye was charged with First-Degree Harassment and False Imprisonment.
