About 10 years ago my parents decided that instead of gifts for Mother's Day and Father's Day we would just get together at some point in the Spring and do a once over on their yard.  It was a win win because they got their yard looking amazing and we didn't have to buy anything for Mother's Day or Father's Day.

Well as time went on we still do the yard clean up day but if I don't bring my mom a gift on Mother's Day I'm going to feel like a turd of a son.

So, now it's back to the drawing board.  But she's a mom...so it's super easy to just grab a plant and a card.  (crap, I gotta remember a card)

The 31st Annual Plant Sale is Happening This Weekend in Davenport

You should go check out the 31st annual Plant Sale where all proceeds from the plant sale will go to support one-to-one, youth mentoring through the Big Brothers Big Sisters agency in the Quad Cities area.  So, that's a great idea anyway.

Just stop by their Davenport  location at the Northwest Bank tower next to Hooters and shop from a wide variety of flats, hanging baskets and potted plants.  They've got a giant tent and plants laid out all over the place.  But supplies are limited so go today.  Don't put it off until Sunday morning on your way to brunch like I normally do.
