Bent River Brewing Co is Hosting a Beer Dinner for Family Resources

The folks over at Bent River Brewing Company are an amazing group of people, and this is just another example of how amazing they actually are. They're planning a beer dinner that's coming up on Saturday, November 2nd that 100% of the proceeds of will go to Family Resources Inc.

For those of you not aware, Family Resources Inc is a non-profit social services organization. They offer comprehensive services to survivors of abuse in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois through crisis response, sheltering, counseling, medical advocacy, and other support.

Chef Josh Loete has created a special menu paired with Bent River beers that will enhance the flavors of each course presented. The four course dinner will be served at 6 PM after you get your beer and snacks starting at 5 PM.

The menu is as follows:

SALAD: Apple Salad with Vanilla Vinaigrette paired with Fruition: Peach Mango, a light wheat ale loaded with mangoes, peaches, with a perfect balance of tartness and sweetness.

APPETIZER: Smoked Mozzarella Arancini’s with Honey Slaw paired with Sweet Potato Ale, a medium-bodied wheat beer brewed with real sweet potatoes, lightly spiced with all spice to nicely balance this delicious autumn beer.

ENTRÉES (select entrée of choice during ticket purchase):
All entrées will be paired with Oktoberfest, a copper-hued German Marzen featuring a robust, sweet malt impression that finishes moderately dry.

-Vegetarian: spaghetti squash with bell peppers, onions, carrots, and broccoli tossed in a light pesto.
-Bacon-wrapped baseball cut Sirloin topped with pistachio marshmallow sauce and plated with roasted vegetable and potatoes.
-Uncommon Boetje's Parmesan Crusted Pork Loin plated with roasted vegetables and potatoes.

DESSERT: Espresso Brulee, crème brulee with espresso and caramel paired with Jingle Java. We start with original recipe of our renowned coffee stout and add vanilla, pecan, cinnamon, caramel, and rum to give it a flavor profile that’s perfect fit for the holidays.

Oct 29th is deadline to purchase tickets. They are only $50 can be purchased here. Please make sure to select your entrée of choice at the time of ticket purchase.
