A benefit is taking place in Clinton this weekend to help a local girl gain more independence in life.

Sarah is a 13-year-old who was born with limb abnormalities. Sarah has no limbs on the right side of her body and partial limbs on her left side.

Sarah has two ways of getting around. She can use her prosthetic leg for short
distances and has a power wheelchair, which gives her the most independence.

For years, Sarah's mother has been trying to get a lift van for Sarah. At the
moment, they have to lift her from her chair to their van. Needless to say, as
Sarah grows this won't work much longer, so another solution needs to come about.

Just like any other 13-year-old, Sarah wants to be able to have a social life and
go places with her friends. Without the help of a lift van, this is nearly impossible.

The benefit will feature an auction, 50/50 raffle, bake sale, and a DJ. The benefit will be hosted at Legends Sports Bar (2118 Harrison Drive, Clinton, IA) on June 25th from 1-6pm.
