'An Evening with CAKE' Tour Coming to Eastern Iowa

CAKE, the alternative rock band known for their hits like The Distance, and Never There, is coming to Eastern Iowa as part of their tour, An Evening With CAKE.

Following success of their debut album "Fashion Nugget," CAKE continued to release albums, including "Prolonging the Magic", "Comfort Eagle", and "Pressure Chief."

The band's song, Short Skirt, Long Jacket, was used as the theme for the NBC show, Chuck, throughout the entirety of the series.

Formed in 1991 by singer and guitarist John McCrea, trumpeter Vince DiFiore, guitarist Xan McCurdy, bassist Gabe Nelson, and drummer Frank French, the band is headed back out on the road in 2024, with a stop in Cedar Rapids on May 10th, 2024 at the McGrath Amphitheatre.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, January 12th at 10am through CREventsLive.com.
