Abandoned Vehicle Recovered Near I-280 Bridge

Emergency crews were seen on South Concord Street near the I-280 bridge on Tuesday after they received a report of a vehicle in the Mississippi River.

After some time, teams were able to tow the vehicle to shore to be examined. No occupants could be seen in the vehicle upon its extraction, and no rescue dive teams were on site.

At this time it appears the vehicle was abandoned after being stolen.

Authorities are still investigating the situation and will update the public when more information is known.
