A Very Veteran Valentine’s Day

Wicked Liz is filling in for Goose this week and was talking about doing something special for veterans.  This is what she came up with.

Tomorrow is Valentines day and that got us thinking about ways to show our appreciation for the people we can thank for our Freedom...Our military Veterans.

The Quad City Outreach center is an organization dedicated to supporting Veterans and helping make their lives brighter. According to their website all of their programs and services are provided free of charge, thanks to generous community donors.

The center offers the following:

• Food Pantry
• Free Days Monthly to Assist Veterans
• Help with Job Placement
• Assistance with Housing
• Veterans Benefit Assistance Counseling
• Informational Help to Veterans
• Monthly / Yearly Events

What you can do to help?

They are always in need of Personal Hygiene items, so please consider donating the following:

• Deodorant
• Razors, 3-in-1 shampoo
• Toothpaste ( they have plenty of toothbrushes).
