Alternating Currents has been cancelled for 2020.  The downtown Davenport festival celebrating original live music, film screenings, comedians, and visual artists had planned on spreading throughout the Quad Cities but instead will be postponed until next year.

In music news: Joan Jett has released a video for her version of the T. Rex song "Jeepster" which appears on AngelHeaded Hipster, a tribute album to T. Rex that comes out in September.

Metallica released a couple songs from their 2019 S&M2 live album and concert film documentary, available on Aug. 28. Metallica and San Francisco Symphony: S&M2  will mark the 20th anniversary of their 1999 live album S&M.
