6 year old Knox Brewer recently started magnet fishing, where you use a strong magnet to  find metal objects underwater.

On Mother's Day, Knox was magnet fishing, and had something at the bottom of the lake stick to his magnet. With the help of a nearby friendly stranger and his mom, they were able to pull out a locked safe.

When they pried the safe open, they found jewelry, a checkbook, and a notebook.

Knox's dad called police, who said the safe went missing after it was stolen from a nearby house nearly 8 years ago. They tracked down the owner, and she came down and gave Knox a big hug.

Knox's mom Catherine, said “She got some missing charm bracelet pieces that were still left in there, she said all the expensive stuff was gone but at least she got closure and some of her pieces back."
