14-Year-Old Quad Citizen Looking For Donations For A Kidney

Kara is a 14-year-old Milan resident who was taken to the ER on June 22nd with a severe pain in her side, and is now in need of a kidney within the next few months. A GoFundMe has been set up to help her family cover some of the medical bills, and spread the word that a donor is needed.

The GoFundMe details the journey so far for Kara and her family.

She was immediately transferred to a bigger and more specialized hospital and within 24 hours she and her parents were told both kidneys were failing. They were told that her kidneys had stopped growing at around 4 years old and as she grew they have been unable to continue to do their job. She would need a transplant. While this was devastating news it was also a complete shock as Kara had no symptoms of kidney failure and had lived a completely healthy life.

...she and her parents will be traveling 180 miles round trip every two weeks until she is ready for her transplant and the costs associated with travel  let alone the costs of medical deductibles, and aftercare is unexpected and tremendous.  Third, your prayers, well wishes, physical and emotional support would be so appreciated.
