Yeah, But Are They More Popular Than Jesus Christ??

Try and Remember this from 6 years ago.  The always competitive and sometimes controversial Gene Simmons was being interviewed by Britain's Daily Telegraph and his goal to make a wildly bold, Lennon-like statement went something like this ....  "KISS is one of the world's most recognizable brands. You don't know just how big the image is.  By some experts, it is believed to be the most recognized pop culture image on Earth...even bigger than Mickey Mouse !"    So did he steal the thunder away from The Beatles for John's "Jesus Christ" statement ???   On their home turf??   Not quite, in my opinion, but it was a valiant effort.
