Dylan Duran who goes to elementary school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Recently he asked his mom if she'd start packing two lunches for him each day. His friend didn't have money for lunch and was only eating a fruit cup every day.

Josette is his mother's name, and she decided to look into it. She found out the kid's dad was out of the picture, and his mom had lost her job. She says she could relate, because she and Dylan were so broke a few years ago, they were living out of their car.

She started packing two lunches every day, and didn't tell anyone. Then the kid's mom found out and tried to pay her back. But instead, Josette held a fundraiser, brought in over $400, and paid off all the past due lunch accounts at their school.

This is where it gets good. Jerry Fenton of Burlington, Iowa read about it on Facebook the other day. And on Tuesday, he paid off all the overdue lunch bills at his old elementary school.

The balance also happened to be right around $400. But he wrote a check for $700, to cover future outstanding lunch bills too.
