What Smells In The Quad Cities?
Something stinks in the Quad Cities and it’s not just our morning show. A lot of Quad Citizens are asking, “What’s that smell?” Here’s a possible answer.
We started getting emails from listeners this morning telling us that something stinks, I assumed it was just Dwyer’s music choice. Others speculated that it was winds drifting in from Green Bay or some landfill.
Turns out it’s something a bit more unpleasant.
Luckily, Farmer Dave called in and set us all straight. We’re in the Midwest and we’re right in the middle of harvest season. Area farmers are in the process of clearing fields and spreading manure to fertilize the soil.
@2dorks liquid swine manure is worth $$$ to farmers as fertilizer & it has to be knifed in the ground – smell will still b there a day or 2

Thanks to the wind, the scent is being spread around too. So just sit tight, it won’t last very long.
