Redbox Announces the Scariest Movie of All Time
Redbox recently polled 800 customers to see how many people watch scary movies. 57% of people said they like watching scary movies, and 55% plan to watch at least one around Halloween this year.
People were asked to rank the scariest movies of all time, here's the Top Five:
- "The Exorcist"
- "A Nightmare on Elm Street" - Freddy Krueger topped the list of scariest villains.
- "The Shining"
- The original "Halloween"
- "The Silence of the Lambs".
They also asked people how they watch scary movies. This is what they found:
- 92% of people who watch scary movies prefer watching them at home, as opposed to going to the movies.
- 73% turn off all the lights to make it scarier.
- 52% of us refuse to watch them alone.
- 50% sometimes get spooked by random noises after watching one.
- 31% have stopped watching a scary movie because they got too scared.
