Iowa Teacher Busted For Being Drunk While He Chaperoned Prom

33-year-old Royce Van Roekel is a business teacher at Okoboji High School in Milford, Iowa, and he was one of the chaperones at their prom last weekend.

Apparently he was really drunk, it was noticeable enough that someone called the cops. When they gave Royce a breathalyzer test, he blew a .19, which is more than twice the legal limit.

He was arrested for public intoxication and resigned from his job last week. Royce has to pay for the substitute teacher to cover his classes for the rest of the year.
