Hy-Vee announced yesterday the start of a month-long campaign to honor our nation's veteran and active-duty military members in our communities and increase awareness of and support for organizations that serve veterans, active-duty members and their families.

Every November, Hy-Vee salutes and honors our nation's veterans and active-duty military through the "Hy-Vee Homefront Round Up" program at checkout and free Veterans Day breakfast, as well as an active effort to hire veterans and service members transitioning to civilian life.

Fundraising

Annually, Hy-Vee fundraises through their Hy-Vee Homefront Round Up fundraiser. Customers can round their purchase to the nearest dollar, or donate extra to this cause. Hy-Vee matches all donations up to $100,000, and this year, Coca-Cola has agreed to match up to $50,000 with all of the proceeds to be donated to Hope for the Warriors, Operation First Response, American Red Cross and the Puppy Jake Foundation.

Veteran's Day Dine-In Breakfast

On Veteran's Day (November 11) Hy-Vee will be honoring our area's veterans on Friday, November 11th by offering a free breakfast to all veterans and active-duty military members.

A buffet-style breakfast will be offered from 6am to 10am at Hy-Vee stores. All Dollar Fresh Market locations will offer free donuts and coffee.
