Four Out of Five Hosts Agree, Leftovers Are the Best Part of Thanksgiving
If you're going to someone else's house for Thanksgiving dinner, assuming they have any etiquette, they'll let you take some leftovers home. But they're secretly praying you turn them down.
According to a new survey, 79% of people say the best part about hosting Thanksgiving is having a fridge full of leftovers. That means four out of five people are hosting for the sake of a week's worth of turkey sandwiches.
Here are more results from the survey:
- 28% of people would be interested in trying a turducken for Thanksgiving. That's a chicken inside a duck inside a turkey, in case you don't know.
- 25% of people say they'd rather eat at a restaurant for Thanksgiving than cook.
- And turkey could stop being a guaranteed part of Thanksgiving once the next generation is hosting. Only 30% of people under 35 say it's what they look forward to the most, they're much more into side dishes than older people.
