Flood Victim Called a Local News Station While He Was Stuck in a Tree
A guy in Austin, Texas accidentally drove into a flash flood on Friday, and his car floated a half-mile before he could get out. Then he climbed 20 feet up a tree, used his phone to call for help, and waited several hours for rescuers to get there.
But before they showed up, he also called the local news and did a live interview while they played footage from inside his car that his wife sent in. The anchors didn't realize he was still in the tree until almost a minute into it. He did another interview after he got rescued though, and he's okay.
