Colorado Man Tells the Cops “Of Course I Have Cocaine Up My Nose, It’s Aspen!”
Aspen, Colorado is one of the most famous skiing towns in the country. If you're one of those super clever people who uses "skiing" as a code for cocaine, apparently Aspen is good for that too.
Just ask 34-year-old Eliphalet Miller Ford the Fourth. Great name, right?
He was sitting on a park bench in Aspen with a friend, getting ready to do a line of coke, when two cops came up. They saw a rolled up $10 bill in his hand, the line of coke on the bench, and asked him what he was doing.
He said he was smoking a cigarette. When the cops shined a flashlight at his nose, they spotted a bunch of white powder in it. Naturally, they asked him if it was cocaine.
And this is the best part. He said, "Of course I have cocaine up my nose. It's Aspen!"
He was arrested and charged with narcotics possession and resisting arrest.
