Coach Ruskowski Relieved From Quad City Mallards

News came out just recently of the Quad City Mallards relieving Terry Ruskowski after four years of acting as head coach and general manager of the team.

Mallards president Bob McNamara said in a statement:
“We appreciate and thank Terry for the fine work he has done for the Mallards since taking over as head coach and general manager under difficult circumstances four years ago. Our ownership and our entire organization are committed to bringing another championship to the Quad Cities and we feel this decision, while difficult, was one we needed to make to continue moving in that direction.”

Assistant coach Phil Axtell will step in as interim head coach after two years of experience with the team. A search for a full-time coach is expected to begin immediately.

After Goose reached out to Coach Ruskowski, he said "I'll miss you guys, always had a ball on your show! Tell the goons all the best for me."
