These photos from the Clinton Lumberkings look real bad, but the field has already been drained and they're ready to play ball this week.

Reports are saying the the Clinton area received anywhere between 5 and 8 inches of rain at the end of last week. "While the field can take just about anything – the old facility go hit pretty hard," General Manager Ted Tornow told us. "My office was OK – a little flooding – but the main grandstand got hit... city offices, concession and beer stands, bathrooms, storage areas, etc."

About a dozen staff members, clean-up workers, and board members came together and helped clean up the stadium. All the carpets in the city offices had to be cleaned and everything else was hosed down.

The Lumberkings will be hosting the Quad City River Bandits this Wednesday night. Don't worry, the field is considerably dryer now.
