Real homelessness is such a tragedy. People whom, for whatever reason, fall under the waterline, and struggle just to stay afloat. There are many resources out there and great people who work each day to keep safe and dignity intact for those truly struggling. So I think about those people when I see the fakes at the street corners, and laughed out loud at this situation yesterday.

Fake homeless person runs up to a van that opens their window. From inside, the driver hands the fake homeless person a ziplock bag with what looks to be a granola bar, maybe a bottle of water, and socks? The look of disappointment at not getting money was priceless. I had my camera with me, and while I missed the initial disappointment, I did catch the aftermath. the bag of stuff laying on the ground, while fake homeless goes bag to her "job"
