Violinist Claims United Airlines Agent Tried to Take Her 17th Century Instrument

Yennifer Correia was says that a gate agent with United Airlines attempted to take her 17th century violin away from her.

The violinist was on her way to play with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra when she tried to board a flight in St. Louis. That's when she says the employee "lunged" at her and tried "wrestling" the instrument away from her.

Correia's attorney released a statement that explains the she hoped to carry the violin with her instead of checking it with her baggage. This incident caused her to miss her flight and first rehearsal.
