U2 is up 1 – 0 !

Hey ... I think it's great that the Pope is here on our soil, and doing all the things he's doing.  The television coverage ad-nausea over the last 3 days has squelched some of my enjoyment however.  But all the hype has reminded me of this tidbit.

Remember when Pope John Paul II appeared at Giants Stadium in front of about 83,000 people?  It set a record at the time.  It was only to be broken in 2009 by about 1500 more people that showed up for a U2 concert at the same stadium.  Sorry, Pope.
