Travelers Discover Hotel Giving Guests Master Key to All Rooms

Two friends discovered that the hotel they were staying at had given out a master key to every room when another patron unlocked their door. This lead the travelers to test out their key.

Turns out they too had a master key and they exposed a huge security flaw at the Rodeway Inn on Route 66, a fairly popular road trip stop.

The two decided to experiment, in the video below they are able to open several doors at the hotel.

Choice Hotels International owns the chain of hotels and has seen the video. They responded with, "Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have contacted the hotel and determined that there was a malfunction in their key system. They have taken immediate action to address this."
