Throwback Thursday Caught Me By Surprise This Week…

Throwback Thursday: Katie Edition.  I found this picture while looking for something else, and it hit me--just how fast she's growing up.

This is a picture of me carrying you on one of our many journeys (there was probably a zoo nearby, eh?) But this picture is deceiving, because while riding on my shoulders was your preferred method of transportation for close to a decade, it was you, lifting me, all that time.

I never knew anyone could mean so much to me until you came along, with your happy smile and contagious laughter. Even in tears you taught me that I could bring comfort. You are truly my mysterious gift from above. A box inside of a box inside of a box!

I look forward to the many journeys still to come. Each one lifts me ever higher. Love you, Goofball.
