Metal isn't just a type of music, it's a way of life. It has its own language. Degenerate State decided to figure out the most metal and least metal words in the English language.

They looked at more than 22,000 heavy metal song lyrics from more than 7,000 bands, then compared them to "everyday English". An inexact science to be sure, but it was an inexact science that brought Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, Bill Ward, and Geezer Butler together, and Black Sabbath worked out just fine.

Anyway, the most metal word in the English language is burn followed by cries, veins, eternity, and breathe. And the least metal word is particularly followed by indicated, secretary, committee, and university.

Now excuse me while I rock out to some Deep Purple...
