Tug Fest

The event is a thrilling tug-of-war competition between the two cities, and it has been a highlight of the summer season for locals and visitors alike since 1987.

This will finally put to rest the question of whether the current plays a part in determining the winner.

For 35 years, Tug Fest has been a staple for the Quad Cities, Iowans and Illinoisians alike to get together and compete to see which state's riverbanks have the strongest residents, but this year may look vastly different than previous years.

The Tug happens on Saturday.
