Without a doubt in my mind there is a reason they call them 'The Greatest Generation.' It's their no-nonsense, get it done at whatever the cost, attitude that you have to respect. I mean common, this was the generation that fought for freedom because of the distinct line drawn between right and wrong.

I would like to introduce you to someone that embodies all that is good in 'The Greatest Generation.' In this CNN video Jim "Pee Wee" Martin (93yo) strapped on a parachute again to jump into Normandy. He jumped out of a C-47 just like he did seventy years prior.

This week I had the pleasure to speak to his lovely wife Donna (formerly of Newton, IA) and his daughter Linda. Linda described to me how Jim still has a great work ethic. (He's still running all the farm equipment, climbing trees to cut firewood, and more!)

When he returns to the U.S. we will get to speak to Mr. Marin on the Dwyer and Michaels Morning Show! We look forward to sharing his story Monday 6/16 at 9am on 97X.

As a former member of the 82nd Airborne, Mr. Jim "Pee Wee" Martin, I salute you by shouting "Airborne, Hooah!"
