QC Rock Academy Battle of the Bands on Saturday

I, Bill Stage, will be judging this event.  This will be my 2nd time judging this battle of the bands for QC Rock Academy and I know I will be just as blown away (if not more so) as last time.  They are cultivating some great talent & I hope you'll join me for some great fun!

QC Rock Academy 5 Year Anniversary Party/Battle Of The Bands
Saturday, December 3rd at Rascals Live - 1418 15th Street, Moline
Doors at 6:00pm, Show at 7:00pm
$5 at the door, All Ages

There are 5 QCRA student bands competing. Been There Done That, Hum Hum & The Crash, Syde FX, VanderVeer and last year's winners, Plot Twist

Bands will be judged in these categories: stage presence, crowd interaction, crowd response, overall performance and original song. Each person in attendance will also get one vote. Bands will receive one point for each crowd vote. Winning band will get a recording session to record their original song.

Been There, Done That - One of QCRA's newest bands. They are an all girl band that has only been together about 6 months but they rock! Check them out on FB at www.facebook.com/BTDTBeenThereDoneThat

Hum Hum & The Crash - These kids play some great classics and alternative songs. They've played a lot of show in the past year including Kelly's Irish Pub's St. Patrick's Festival and Bix Streetfest. Check them out at www.facebook.com/humhumandthecrash

Syde FX - This is QCRA's metal band and these guys are ready to melt faces! They have really started building a name for themselves in the QC metal scene. Check them out at www.facebook.com/Sydefxband

VanderVeer - This is their 3rd year of competing in the QCRA Battle Of The Bands. They have been one of the busiest bands at the academy playing over 20 gigs in the past year playing some of the best classic rock covers around. Check them out at www.facebook.com/VanderVeerTheBand
