Plane Carrying Brazilian Soccer Team Crashed, 76 Dead
A plane that was carrying 81 people, including a top Brazilian soccer team crashed while on approach to Medellin, Columbia. Only five passengers survived.
The chartered flight was carrying members of the Chapecoense team who were due to play in the final of the Copa Sudamericana. The South American Football Confederation said it was suspending "all activities".
One survivor was confirmed to be Chapecoense defender Alan Ruschel. Reports say that two other team members may have survived as well, goalkeepers Jackson Follman and Marcos Danilo.
