Pittsburgh Pirates Pitcher Took a Fastball to the Head

Pirates pitcher Ryan Vogelsong took a fastball to the head while he was batting against the Rockies yesterday, right after Pirates announcer Greg Brown talked about how they didn't want to hit him, because the bases were loaded.

Steve Blass, another announcer, asked how the Rockies should pitch to him, and Greg said, "Don't hit him." Then he got hit in the side of the head on the next pitch, got carted off the field, and went to the hospital with an injury to his left eye.
