Today marks the release date of AC/DC's "Back in Black" album in 1980.  Not only by sales, but you can debate for hours whether "Back and Black" or "Dark Side of the Moon" is the best rock album ever.  Here's a couple thoughts in support of" Back in Black" ... It's incredibly hard for a band to continue the same success level, after replacing an extremely popular front man like Bon Scott.  But 6 months after his death and at the encouragement of Bon Scott's parents, they dropped the whole idea of dis-banding, approached Brian Johnson, auditioned him, hired him, and sent him to the Bahamas to finish the album with the producers, etc.  So six months after the death of an incredibly popular and unique front man, a new album with a total stranger is released, and it sells more albums than any other hard rock album in history!  Yes it speaks to the BAND'S popularity, but it also speaks to how good that album is, and how well Brian Johnson pulled off the transition.  So whichever one of the 2 albums being compared to here gets YOUR vote ... it's certainly safe to say they each deserve to be called one of the "Top 2" ...
