The Hy-Vee on 2400 Second Avenue in Muscatine has a great idea to honor "Super Heroes" that I would love to see implemented here in the Quad Cities.

Steve Graham, the manager of perishables, told the Muscatine Journal that the idea came from a Peoria Hy-Vee, "That email got sent around and my store director (Jim Simmons) said 'Hey, what do you think of this?' I said that thing is awesome and can we go ahead and get one ordered?"

"It was a no-brainer. That's an awesome idea to support the community and the personnel who help out. We felt it tied in very well," Graham said. "It's meant for the heroes of the community, active and retired or inactive military members, firefighters, police, any of those people. That's who it's for."

"It has been used quite a bit. I can tell you it's our most active Facebook post ever. There are lots of comments and lots of positive feelings in the community."

What a cool way to thank those who have done so much for our country.
