Massachusetts Man’s Home Set as Pokemon GO Gym
Boon Sheridan found himself in an awkward situation last week when Pokemon GO launched and he found out that his home, an old church, was set up as a gym in the game.
Gyms in Pokemon GO allow players to fight and train against each other with the Pokemon they've collected. So Boon has seen a dozens of people showing up in front of his home.
He's tried contacting Niantic, the makers of the game, to get his location changed. So far you can only report a "Poke Stop" if it poses any physical danger to players.
Boon has been active on Twitter during the whole situation. Though he's inconvenienced at times, he seems to be having a lot of fun with the whole thing. He met up with the owner of the gym at one point too.
Sheriff's offices across the country are warning Pokemon GO players against trespassing. Make sure that if you're out there trying to catch 'em all that you follow the law.
