Mail Carrier Forced to Call Police After Being Surrounded by Turkeys
Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. But a rafter of angry wild turkeys is another story.
The postmaster for the Hillsdale, New Jersey Postal Service had to make a call to a 911 dispatcher after a mail carrier became trapped by wild turkeys. According to ABC 7, the carrier was a substitute who was not familiar to the birds and was not injured. Officers were able to scare away the turkeys buy walking towards them.
