Life in a Tech-Centered World is Hard For Woman Named Alexa Seary
When Alexa Seary's parents named her, they had no idea how bad life would become for her 21 years later. Now she's a college student at Stockton University and never hears the end of the jokes.
She says that it all started back when Apple first introduced Siri in 2011, "I got it all the time. If I introduced myself with my last name, people would always tie it to that."
Jump forward to 2015 when Amazon created their virtual assistant Alexa and it got way worse for her.
Now people constantly make "Alexa" and "Siri" jokes at her, especially when she's at work and someone jokingly commands her to do something.
She does have an iPhone and uses Siri, but she won't get an Amazon Echo to use Alexa because that would be a "complete disaster."
