WalletHub Ranks Chicago As Nations 33rd Most Stressed City

A surprise to few, I'm sure, but Illinois is in the top 50 most stressed cities in America in a new report. There are multiple factors in these sources, and it looks like 'work stress' is a big reason Chicago ranked so high.

To determine where Americans cope the best, WalletHub compared more than 180 cities across 39 key metrics. Our data set ranges from average weekly work hours to the unemployment rate to divorce and suicide rates.

Where does Chicago Rank For Stress?

Chicago finds itself right in between Fayetteville, NC and Salem, OR. (You are just a tiny bit more stressed than the city of witches'.) Chicago ranks 33rd out of the top 182 most stressed cites in America. 

The most stressed city was Cleveland, OH. I had no idea how stressed they were. Fremont, CA came in at number 182.

Money, health and the economy all remain top stressors, but around 3 in 5 adults don’t talk about their stress because they don’t want to be a burden on other people.
