Popular Free Summer Concert Series Returns To Eastern Iowa Riverfront
Free summer stuff? Count me in.
Live music season is just about here again. The City of Davenport has teamed up with nonprofit Common Chord to bring back The Big 9 Summer Concert Series.
According to a press release from the city, the concert series is meant to highlight Davenport's 9 miles of Mississippi Riverfront. That's why venues include riverfront parks and downtown hotspots.
The concert series will feature multiple musical styles, from country to soul. It kicks off on May 31st and goes through Saturday, August 30th. The concerts are free to get into and there will be food vendors on site at the park venues. Here's the schedule and lineup:
There's not a food lineup though, you'll figure that out when you get to the parks. The schedule looks like:
- Saturday, May 31st- Karli Bunn Quintet (Quinlan Court)
- Friday, June 6th- 10 Of Soul (2nd Street Block Party)
- Saturday, June 14th- Wonderland: A Tribute to the Legendary Stevie Wonder (LeClaire Park)
- Saturday, June 28th- Logan Springer & the Wonderfully Wild (The Last Picture House)
- Thursday, July 3rd- Identity Crisis (LeClaire Park)

- Thursday, July 17th- Back Pocket (Micky's Irish Pub)
- Saturday, August 9th- 80's Ladies (LeClaire Park)
