A highlight of 2025 has been the first American pope being from the Midwest.

Before he was a missionary for the Catholic church, Pope Leo XIV was from the south side of Chicago. Since his election to pope, the Midwest has had the best reactions, including a fan bringing him a 'Da Pope' shirt to the Vatican.

And now, a group of Catholic influencers teamed up to bring the pope his favorite possibly divine pizza: Aurelio's.

The influencers had a special time coming together, with no inside connections to the pope, but ready to make it happen. According to WGN, they packed Aurelio's pizza with dry ice for the journey to Rome.

Their actions received divine approval. When they did reach the Vatican and Pope Leo saw the pizza, he told his security guards: "I want the pizza! Please give me the pizza!"

Influencer Jayden Remias posted the recap and the pope's reaction on Instagram:

Pope Leo's brother, John Prevost, confirmed that His Holiness ate every last bite of the 6-inch Aurelio's pepperoni pizza.

We shan't forget that earlier this summer, Pope Leo was spotted in a White Sox hat, along with his papal cassocks, making him the first pope to wear a ballcap with his robe.
