International Flight Out Of Busy Illinois Airport Forced To Return After Toilets Clogged
Well that's a crappy problem.
It's a year of flight issues. Even in Illinois, both Midway and O'Hare haven't been immune to problems. A plane nearly smacked a jet at Midway and a plane hit a coyote (?) at O'Hare.

And now we're back, with a particularly stinky issue involving a flight from O'Hare to Delhi, India.
According to a release from Air India obtained by NBC Chicago, the flight had to return to O'Hare after 8 of the 12 lavatories on the plane quit working. First off, I've never been on an international flight with 12 lavatories. That's swanky.
Why did they quit working, you ask? People were flushing clothes down the toilet. Or, according to the airline, "bags, rags and clothes".
Of course, it got stuck in the plumbing and made the toilets not work.
They figured out the problem when the plane was flying over the Atlantic Ocean but they couldn't land in European airports due to night restrictions so they had to return back to Chicago.
The airline said all passengers got hotel accommodations and alternative flight operations after the issue.
They also urged passengers to use the lavatories just in the way they're intended for. Why do we really have to tell people this? Oy.
We already have enough issues with flights in 2025, okay? Don't make it worse with stuff like this.
