One mom is planning big for the future now.

Winning $350,000 from the lottery would be great enough but it would be even better if it was from the drawing on Christmas Day. That's exactly what happened for one mom in Illinois.

She's chosen to remain anonymous, being identified only by the Lottery as "Work Mom", a term she chose since as that's what her coworkers refer to her as because she's the oldest in the office.

When the drawing happened on Christmas Day, she said she was relaxing, watching TV when she got the email alert saying she had won in the latest "Lucky Day Lotto" drawing. She thought it was a glitch at first until she checked the app to confirm that she had the winning numbers.

The winning numbers were an intentional pick for Work Mom too. They represent something special for her: 4-10-12-30-31 refer to her kids' birthdays and her own.

Work Mom called the win a "Christmas Day blessing" and that she "felt optimistic" when she played those numbers.

As for what she's planning to do with the money, she says she plans to invest in retirement, contribute to her daughter's education, and take a family vacation to a location on her husband's wish list: Alaska.

"Lucky Day Lotto" is an Illinois-only game that starts jackpots at $100,000. It is available to play in-store, online (which is where Work Mom got hers), or on the Illinois Lottery app. They have 2 daily drawings at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m.
