The folks at WalletHub compared all 50 states across two key dimensions to find out which states had the best and worst dental health.

Not only can Illinois boast about this crowing (see what I did there?) achievement, but they did really good in some other areas of this study. Illinois is tied for first in lowest percentage of adults who experienced oral pain in the past year, first in oral health rank, and tied for second in lowest percentage of adults with poor or fair oral condition.

For those that live next door in Iowa, don't worry, your teeth are pretty good too. Not top 10, but definitely not at the bottom.

Iowa is the state with the 13th-best dental health. Actually, the Midwest did alright in this study.

Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan take the next three top spots, respectively.
