WATCH: DoorDash Driver Drives Onto Chicago O’Hare Tarmac In New Video
I think someone missed a turn.
Something must be going on with airports and airplanes this year. O'Hare isn't immune to the weirdness either.
At O'Hare so far this year, the following have happened:
And humans being, well humans:
Not to mention cocaine found in wheelchair cushions and millions of dollars worth of fake designer watches sneaking in.
Whoops Wrong Way
On May 17th, a DoorDash driver “accidentally drove into an unauthorized secured area within O’Hare Airport” (according to Chicago PD) while trying to deliver food.
A new video obtained by NBC Chicago shows the moment the 36-year-old DoorDash driver (in the red car, under the jetbridge next to the plane at this point) stopped on the tarmac.
Watch the upper part of the video:
You can see a bunch of uniformed personnel and officers talking to the driver. The department called it a "mistake" after an investigation and no charges were filed.
That hasn't stopped people from speculating as to why a DoorDasher was on the tarmac right beside a plane. Comments include:
- "Pilot just needed some lunch it's ok"
- "I bet the in-app navigation took him there"
- "At this point, TSA stands for Tacos Secured and Arriving"
- "GTA Delivery Driver"
And of course, a lot of people are left wondering how in the world the DoorDasher made it all the way to the tarmac, being a restricted area.
