Happy Birthday Mann !!

It's Manfred Mann's birthday today ... he's 74 ...  and yes he's a real person!  He was born and raised in South Africa, real name Manfred Sepse Lubowitz, but his opposition to apartheid made him want to head for the UK .. The first generation of his band had some great 60's hits ... the third generation of the band produced "Blinded by the Light" and the bigger Classic Rock staples.  But he pretty much retired and quietly faded from everything a while ago, he's still alive, and he's still a pretty interesting dude (on the right) ... and I'll salute all Manfred Mann fans today on his birthday!
