Happy B-Day Martin …

Today Martin Chambers of The Pretenders is celebrating his 62nd birthday somewhere in England... now those of you that know me, and who have had the "Greatest Drummers of All Time..." discussion one or more times know that I definitely favor the Hard-Hitting Drummers over the Purely Technical ones.  And every once in a while you get a drummer that possesses both ... Which is why I have Martin Chambers in my top 5 of all time ...

There was no doubt he was a "smasher" ... but he was extremely skillful too.  It has always surprised me how underrated he stayed throughout his career.  But not with me, so on this day Pretenders fans.. I salute you!
