Hacking Keurig With Generic Coffee
I got my wife a Keurig for Christmas. I was adamantly against it for a couple of reasons. Our $25 coffee maker made the same quality coffee as the $160 coffee maker. Plus, the K-Cups are 3 times more expensive than a regular can.
So, after I waited for an hour for my old machine to brew a full pot... I was fed up and decided to splurge. It was wonderful! We had a fully brewed cup of coffee 60 seconds before the hangover was due to set in.
The Keurig 2.0 only works with Keurig brand K-cups. Being the eternal cheap ass... I figured out a way to make it work with whatever tub of coffee that's on sale that week. You basically have to take a lid from a real K-cup and glue it to the top of the reusable filter you can buy in the coffee isle for $3. In the video below, I show you how easy it is!
