Florida Woman Ticketed for License Plate Frame that Covers Website

I've just been thinking about this. Why should you be required to display advertising on a state-issued license? The fact is, you aren't.

The State here is over-reaching their authority. Wanna put "Florida" on there to identify the location of the vehicle registration? Sure. Put the state's website on there? Nope.

The precedent is dangerous. What's to stop the state from selling the space on your plate, like they do on the website? Nothing.

If you think it doesn't affect us, it will sooner before later.
