The monster truck show wasn't the only thing that got Gary Richie's adrenaline flowing. Richie and his son took down two gunmen that were threatening a family with a shotgun and a pistol.

Orlando police arrested two men Saturday night, thanks to a father and son who jumped in to save a woman and her family from their armed attackers outside of Monster Jam.

"My wife yelled at me, 'He's got a gun,'" said Gary Richie, who recalled making the split decision to step in when no one else could. "It deteriorated really quick when the guns came out."

Police said two men in a pickup truck took out their guns after a mother confronted them for sideswiping her minivan. The confrontation happened as crowds left the Citrus Bowl after the Monster Jam.

"The driver of the pickup truck starting waving his arm out the window and it appeared he had a handgun. When the passenger got out, he had a shotgun. He pointed it at the van and started walking towards the van. And when he did that, that's when I rushed him and pinned him against the truck," said Richie, who was just feet away and watched the argument turned from heated, to violent.

That's when Richie and his son tackled the gunman and wrestled for the shotgun amid hundreds of innocent people.
